The story behind Best Part
I’m Brittyn, a registered dietitian who has spent over a decade working with families navigating selective eating.
But this didn’t start with my work—it started with my brother, Barrett.
Growing up, I saw how challenging eating could be for him. He had strong sensory sensitivities and a very limited number of foods he would accept, which made daily nutrition feel complicated, unpredictable, and stressful for our family.
That experience shaped how I think about food, nutrition, and what families are really navigating day to day.
It’s what led me to become a dietitian and spend my career supporting families going through similar experiences.
Over the years, I’ve worked with hundreds of families, and I kept seeing the same pattern: even when kids were making progress with food, there were still gaps that felt hard to close, and supporting those gaps in a way that actually fit into daily life wasn’t simple.
Best Part was created from that experience.
Not as a perfect solution, but as a more practical one, something designed with real routines, sensory preferences, and parent-child trust in mind.
Something that supports families where they are, not where they’re “supposed” to be.
Why Harkla is part of Best Part
Best Part was created by the same team behind Harkla, with Brittyn as co-founder and dietitian lead.
Harkla has been supporting children with sensory needs through products, education, and hands-on support for families since 2016. That experience shaped how we think about what families actually need day to day—not just what a product is, but whether it truly works in real life.
When Casey and Brittyn connected, it was clear they had been hearing the same thing from families for years. Brittyn brought deep nutrition expertise, working directly with selective eaters, and Harkla brought experience building trusted products for those same families.
Best Part came from bringing those strengths together to create something more thoughtful, practical, and supportive for families.

Questions and answers
-
What is Best Part?
Best Part is a sensory-friendly daily multivitamin designed for kids with selective eating and sensory sensitivities.
It was created because most kids’ vitamins tend to fall into one of two extremes: they either taste good but don’t provide much meaningful nutritional support, or they’re packed with nutrients but hard for kids to take consistently.
Best Part was created to sit in between—with thoughtful, well-absorbed nutrients, a gentle approach, and a format designed to fit into real-life routines.
-
Why was Best Part created?
Best Part was created to support families navigating selective eating without adding more pressure to an already full plate.
Over time, it became clear that many parents were looking for the same thing: something that could help support their child’s nutrition, but in a way that felt realistic, approachable, and usable day after day.
Best Part was built to offer a more practical middle ground—meaningful nutritional support, with a sensory-friendly approach and thoughtful formulation designed for real life.

How does Harkla fit into Best Part?
Best Part was created by the same team behind Harkla, with Brittyn joining as co-founder and dietitian lead.
For over a decade, Harkla has supported families navigating sensory needs through high-quality products, educational resources, and exceptional customer support. That experience shaped how we think about what families actually need day to day—and what it takes to create products that are not just well made, but truly usable in real routines.
Best Part was built from that same foundation, with a specific focus on supporting nutrition for selective eaters.

Who is Best Part for?
Best Part was designed for children with selective eating and sensory sensitivities, including many neurodivergent kids—but the formula is gentle, balanced, and intended to support any child who may benefit from added nutritional support.
The goal was to create something that works for real families: supportive, approachable, and realistic for everyday use.
Because when a child’s diet is limited, nutrition support needs to do more than look good on paper—it has to fit into real life.
